Carers Trust is the largest UK wide charity supporting unpaid carers. Together with our Network Partners, we provide support, information, advice and services for children, young people and adults caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend. We also campaign for positive changes for carers and offer grants to support carers of all ages.
We are currently looking for a dynamic fundraiser to join our small but highly successful Trusts, Statutory and Lottery Fundraising team of four (including this role).
This is an exciting opportunity to join the charity as we are looking at delivering a new ambitious five-year strategy that will help more of the 7 million unpaid carers across the UK. Funding from trusts, statutory and lottery funders has grown over the past six years and is a significant income source for Carers Trust. The team recently secured £2m in grants from the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund and has already secured significant gifts against their 2017-18 income targets.
The successful candidate will have some experience in securing income from one or more of the following: charitable trusts and foundations, central Government and Big Lottery Fund.. You will have great written and verbal communications skills, and a good eye for detail.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in joining a vibrant organisation and very successful team.
