Carers Trust is the largest UK wide charity for the nation’s 7 million unpaid carers. Together with our Network Partners, we provide support, information, advice and services for children, young people and adults caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend. The number of carers is a growing issue, with 3 in 5 of us likely to become a carer at some point in our lifetime. Carers save the UK economy over £119bn every year and act as a main support to our stretched health and social care systems.

We are currently looking for a Network Co-ordinator to support and develop our network of Carers Centres in Scotland by providing information, advice, training and development opportunities and to facilitate communications.

The Network Co-ordinator will sustain and grow the partnership between Carers Trust Scotland and the network of Carers Centres in Scotland through structured network meetings, regular e-newsletters, the sharing of good practice between Network Partners and the development of membership benefits. You will provide advice, support and signposting for Trustees and Carers Centre Managers on matters relating to running a sustainable charity. You will also undertake regular Training Needs Analysis and organise training programmes within available budget to support cross-cutting/common development needs across all network members.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of charity governance with experience of networking, partnership working and training needs analysis. You will demonstrate highly developed communication and presentation skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across a network of independent voluntary organisations.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience within a vibrant national organisation. Please note that due to the Scotland-wide remit travel and overnight stays away from home will be required.

Please download an application pack and return to Lauren Jones (details contained in attached application pack) before the closing date of 5pm on 27th October 2017.

The interviews are to provisionally take place on 13th November 2017 in our Glasgow office.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
