Carers Trust

Job Description

Head of Young Carers and Young Adult Carers

£50,545 per annum plus £3,000 Inner London Weighting

35 hours a week

Location: London SE1

Carers Trust is the largest UK wide charity for the nation’s 7 million unpaid carers. Together with our Network Partner members, we provide support, information, advice and services for children, young people and adults caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend.  The number of carers is a growing issue, with 3 in 5 of us likely to become a carer at some point in our lifetime. Carers save the UK economy over £132bn every year and act as a main support to our stretched health and social care systems.

Carers Trust is the leading organisation for young carers and young adult carers and want to grow our capacity to deliver high quality interventions through our Network Partners to support these two groups. To do this we need to develop our leadership capacity by having a Head of Young Carers and Young Adult Carers.

If you want to work in an organisation whose sole mission is to support unpaid carers across the UK and if you have an interest, as well as knowledge and experience of working with young people and young adults this could be an ideal role for you.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in joining a successful organisation and team.

Closing date for applications is Wednesday 4th December 2019 with interviews being held on Friday 13 December at Carers Trust , Unit 101, 164-180 Union Street, London SE1 0LH

Carers Trust is committed to valuing diversity.

Carers Trust has a number of measures in place to support the carers in its employment including carers leave.

Charity numbers: England and Wales 1145181, Scotland SC042870.

Together we’re the people carers trust

Together, we’re making life better for every unpaid carer in the UK.

Carers Trust is a major charity for, with and about carers. We work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Our vision is that unpaid carers count and can access the help they need to live their lives.
