Project Officer

£26,789 per annum

Full time role

Fixed Term Contract of 2 years (with the hope of extension)

Cardiff (Office based)

Carers Trust Wales is part of Carers Trust, a major charity for, with and about carers. We work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems.

With locally based Network Partners we are able to support carers in their homes through the provision of replacement care, and in the community with information, advice, emotional support, hands on practical help and access to much needed breaks.

We are currently looking for a Project Officer to support the Carers Trust Wales team to deliver against 3 key projects:

  • Supporting health and social care professionals to be better able to identify and support carers

  • Working to improve awareness of and support for older carers

  • Supporting the development and roll out of a National Young Carers ID Card Scheme.

As part of a 2-year, Welsh Government—funded post, this role will be responsible for working with a range of stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of these projects.

  • Cefnogi gweithwyr iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol proffesiynol i allu nodi a chefnogi gofalwyr yn well

  • Gweithio i wella ymwybyddiaeth o ofalwyr hŷn a gwella’r gefnogaeth y maen nhw’n ei chael

  • Cefnogi gwaith datblygu a chyflwyno Cynllun Cenedlaethol Cerdyn Adnabod Gofalwyr Ifanc.

Fel rhan o swydd 2 flynedd y mae Llywodraeth Cymru’n ei hariannu, bydd y rôl hon yn gyfrifol am weithio gydag amrywiaeth o randdeiliaid i sicrhau bod y prosiectau hyn yn cael eu cyflawni’n llwyddiannus.
