Senior Compliance Officer
Carers Trust

Job Description

Job title:  Senior Compliance Officer

Salary: £30,328 per annum (pro rata), plus £3,000 Inner London Weighting per annum pro rata

Contract: Fixed term to 30 September 2022

Hours: 21 hours a week

Location: Union Street, Southwark

Carers Trust is the largest UK wide charity for the nation’s 7 million unpaid carers. Together with our Network Partners, we provide support, information, advice and services for children, young people and adults caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend.  The number of carers is a growing issue, with 3 in 5 of us likely to become a carer at some point in our lifetime. Carers save the UK economy over £119bn every year and act as a main support to our stretched health and social care systems.

We are currently looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to support the Working for Carers project. Working for Carers supports carers and former carers across London to move closer to employment. Support is tailored to meet individual carers needs but may include one-to-one support with an advisor, access to a range of workshops and volunteering opportunities. The project is led by Carers Trust and delivered in partnership with Network Partners (carers services) across London.

The successful candidate will have experience of working on a large, target-driven project, with the proven ability to manage their work and support others to meet compliance requirements and tight deadlines. They will have well-developed numeracy and analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail, as well as extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in joining a vibrant organisation and successful, cross organisational team.

Working for Carers is jointly funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme. This is a significant but time-limited project, focused on developing and delivering new services for unemployed and economically inactive carers across London. For this reason, this post is offered as a fixed term contract until 30 September 2022.

Closing date for applications is 12 noon on 24 June 2019 with interviews being held on 3 July 2019 at Union St, Southwark
